Smoked Salmon, Lox or Gravlax, what is the difference?
People often mix those three but there is a difference in how it is made and how it tastes. Smoked Salmon is cured in salt and then smoked. Lox is traditionally made out of the belly part of the Salmon filet and cured in salt for up to three months. Gravlax Salmon is Cured in Salt, Sugar and spices over a few days.
