Tusk has firm white meat that is considerably firmer than its relative, Cod, which makes it perfect on the grill during the beautiful summer, or cozy winter. Since Tusk feeds on shellfish, its taste is similar to lobster.

Tusk is caught mainly on the western and south western coasts with smaller areas in the east and north, The largest is off the west coast.

The world’s largest Tusk was caught in Icelandic waters measuring 120 cm in length. Cod is a relative of Tusk, and their facial features are similar, however, aside from Sharks and Seals, the greatest enemy of Tusk is Atlantic Cod.
